Before being abducted & made a sabiyya for ISIS, Murad noted how make-up would make her feel as she relished in it's transformative potential.
However, when the circumstances changed and she was sold into sex slavery, the same make-up would lack the same transformative potential in her eyes.

In these markets, human life is reduced to the transfer of a few notes, or the value of exchanging a firearm. Basically, worthless. Unless you are of the correct religion / on the "correct" side of the conflict colonising the entire world.
